New Families: What to do before open registration begins

We are excited that you are considering joining the Capital Christian Homeschool Community! While registration for the upcoming year is not yet open, there are several steps you can take to prepare and enhance your chances of becoming a part of our community next fall.

Step 1: Deciding if Capital Christian is right for you

To begin, please read over the HomepageStatement of Faith, and the Participation Agreement to see if the Capital Christian Homeschool Community is a good fit for your family.

If Capital Christian isn’t a fit or you just want to explore other options available to homeschoolers in the Lansing area, check out this article on group learning opportunities for homeschoolers to learn more about some of the many options available.

Step 2: Choosing a role in our community

Read the Parent Roles Page to see what level of involvement will work best for you.

After reading the Parent Roles Page, if you are interested in facilitating a class and have teaching experience, please choose the “Facilitator” role when filling out your Interest Form (Step 3).

Acting as a class facilitator comes with many benefits, including a significant cost reduction (less than half the cost of assistants), a period off during our community days, AND PRIORITY REGISTRATION.

Step 3: Filling out the interest form

Please fill out the Interest Form for your family.

By completing this form, you will be added to our email list and will receive notifications when class listings for the new school year are posted, as well as when registration opens for new families in April.

Please note that spaces are limited. Priority registration is given first to facilitators and then to returning families. Registration opens to new families on April 15th.
